For many years Pacific Park has provided accommodation for churches from all over New Zealand and overseas. Accommodation ranges from motels, lodges, cabins to a camping ground, enabling the Park to cater for business people, families, holiday makers, and larger groups regardless of religious background. To ensure a family-friendly time is had by all, Pacific Park is alcohol free and smoke free. A non-profit organisation, Pacific Park supports ministries and charities with their proceeds, making your visit to this low-cost, seaside setting all the more appealing. “We believe Pacific Park is God’s camp to be used for the benefit of the whole community,” says manager, Bernard Satherley.
Our new conference centre, Pacific Court, has a large lounge/ dining room, commercial style kitchen, sound system, data projector and 120 inch large screen.
Bernard believes Pacific Park is the perfect place for camps, and having two school-age children, knows how important keeping costs to a minimum can be for school camps. Along with an abundance of activities in the surrounding area, there are plenty of on-site activities to keep students happily occupied. Outside Pacific Court is a volley ball court and the Recreation Room allows for activities such as table tennis, airhockey and fuseball. There is a nine-hole mini golf course, a children’s play area, a trampoline and large outdoor hot pool. "Here at Pacific Park we have different options to suit all budgets," he says. "Part of our philosophy is to provide an economical venue for people to enjoy, to create a space where people can learn from each other, and to provide a peaceful environment where our guests can reflect on life’s more important issues."
